Tablescape with Antique Fish Plates

Before I hung my antique fish plates on the wall, I had to do a tablescape. I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

I purchased the antique Limoges fish plates at Round Top. You can read about Round Top by clicking here and here. The bubble glasses were purchased from One Kings Lane. The white plates were purchased from Homegoods and the wicker chargers were purchased online from Nell Hills. The flatware is vintage silverplate. The dragonfly napkin rings were purchased from a local shop that is no longer in business and the beaded napkin rings were purchased from Pier One. I made the linen napkins. The silver compote holding the orchids is also vintage. The vintage fish roof tiles were purchased in China.

I love a collected tablescape! I’ll be sharing with Wow Us Wednesday at Savvy Southern Style and Tabletop Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.

  1. Pat, your fish china is beautiful! The way your have everything arranged makes a very neat and orderly view from above. The different textures in your plate stack (including chargers) is wonderful. I'm now a fan of fish plates, thanks to you! :-)

  2. I've always loved fish plates and these are gorgeous. The wicker chargers also caught (get it? fish-caught??) my eye, so I wasn't surprised to read you found them at Nell Hill's, which is a huge favorite of mine! Such a gorgeous table!

  7. I wanted to come over and tell you my copper boiler won't be on show until next year at our cottage. Hoping you can wait until then. I'm so glad I saw these plates and read everything. My husband is a fisherman and what I would give to have this set. Thanks to Fixer Upper, I'm well aware of Round Top. Our oldest son and his family live in Midlothian, TX. I'm hoping to go one of the times we visit them, if it's the right time of year.
