I spent last week helping my niece prepare her house to sell. Her husband owned the house when they got married but they have since moved closer to Charlotte(NC) due to work schedules. The house is in a resort community on Baden Lake which is on the edge of the Uwharrie National Forest and is about an hour from Charlotte. It would make a great weekend getaway. A Christmas Visit to New York City
I recently booked a trip to New York City for my birthday in December. I love to visit the city when it comes alive with the Christmas spirit. Since we have made this trip many times before I am often asked what we do while we are there. Actually, I am content to simply stroll and enjoy the atmosphere. While it costs a little more, we always stay in midtown for the convenience of being close enough to walk most places. 3 Holiday Preparations To Do This Week
I just checked the calendar and Christmas is 5 weeks from now! I don’t know about you but I’m making lists and lists and lists and checking them twice so that I will get everything done but I also want to take time to savor the season. Rescuing A Caned Chair
If you are at all familiar with this blog you know that I love to rescue old furniture and give it new life. I am particularly fond of tables and chairs. Not long ago I ran across this old chair at Goodwill. I had to wait for an older gentleman who was using it to take a rest before I could inspect it and make my purchase.
